Allan Grinnan is the owner and lead principal of Sunbelt Engineering. Allan is a graduate of the University of Florida (Class of 1978) in the school of Mechanical Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. He and his father have built an outstanding reputation for exceptional mechanical engineering design in the North Florida region.

Allan has a very simple philosophy: Design a building for the comfort of the individuals who will be occupying the building in the most energy efficient manner.

Allan's experience and expertise lend itself well to challenging renovation and retrofit projects. Allan is working on a couple of these projects now including:

The Riverplace Tower: Having recently completed the mechanical and electrical renovation and commissioning Allan is now starting the Chiller Plant Renovation.
Baptist Medical Center: Also recently completed Phase 1 of the Chiller plant equipment renovation, Phase II is now underway.

Allan is member of ASHRAE, the Florida Engineering Society, and the National Society of Professional Engineers.

Civic Contributions:

Allan has been active in the Boy Scouts of America for the past several years. He first became involved with his son Matt and now continues to be involved with his nephew, Joe. Allan was recently awarded the 2005 James West Award. He is a member of the Order of the Arrow and has been nominated for the prestigious Silver Beaver Award for 2006.
